Escrow Payments

How milestone-based escrow payments work on Delivami.

Overview

Escrow payments protect both you and your client by holding funds until work is approved. This is ideal for large projects with multiple milestones.

Disputes

If there's a disagreement about the work:

  1. Either party can open a dispute
  2. Delivami mediates the situation
  3. Both sides provide evidence
  4. Resolution within 5-7 business days

Try to resolve issues directly before opening a dispute. Most problems can be solved with clear communication.

Best Practices

  1. Break into milestones - Don't make one huge milestone
  2. Clear descriptions - Define what "done" means for each milestone
  3. Regular communication - Keep clients updated on progress
  4. Document everything - Save all correspondence
  5. Set realistic deadlines - Don't overpromise
