What is a Proposal?
A Proposal in Delivami is more than just a PDF document. It is an interactive webpage that you send to a prospective client. It includes your pitch, your portfolio examples, a breakdown of costs, and finally, a digital signature block.
Drafting a Proposal
- Navigate to the Proposals tab and click New Proposal.
- Select the Lead: Choose an existing client or enter a new one.
- Choose a Template: Start from scratch or use a saved template (e.g., "Standard Wedding Photography Package").
- Write the Pitch: Use the rich text editor to write your cover letter, scope of work, and timeline.
- Add Services: Build the pricing table. You can add one-off line items, hourly rates, or monthly retainers.
- Preview & Send: Click the preview button to see exactly what the client will see. Once ready, click Send.
E-Signatures & Approvals
Delivami proposals include legally binding e-signatures.
When the client opens the proposal, they can review the scope of work and click Accept. They will be prompted to draw or type their signature. Once signed, both you and the client receive a PDF copy of the executed agreement via email.
Pro Tip: Delivami tracks when the client opens your proposal. You'll get a notification the second they start reading it, giving you the perfect opportunity to follow up!
Converting Proposals to Projects
The magic of Delivami is the workflow automation.
Once a client signs a proposal, you do not need to manually create an invoice or a project folder. Simply click the Convert to Project button on the accepted proposal.
Delivami will automatically:
- Create a new Project workspace.
- Generate an Invoice based on the exact line items in the proposal.
- Apply any necessary taxes or discounts.
- Invite the client to the new Project.
